• I established MetaNarratives to share my personal journey. Initially, my intent was to maintain a journal documenting my experiences as I navigated the emergence of Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD) and worked towards healing my nervous system from prolonged distress. My situation originated from a challenging family environment, characterized by an alcoholic father in a leadership position. I endured a narcissistic spouse, experienced estrangement from my children, processed traumatic memories, and found solace through journaling. Additionally, I focused on managing a frequently dysregulated nervous system. This entire journey has been made possible through the support of a few extraordinary individuals and, ultimately, by the Holy Spirit, whose guidance has facilitated my transformation and the rewiring of my brain.

The posts I share with you include thoughts and ideas I’ve encountered that have been meaningful to me. I’ve learned that journaling and writing down my thoughts and truths I’m exploring are very helpful.

The journey involved discovering many books by wise figures like Thomas Merton, Jordan Peterson, and Michael Heiser, and, of course, reading the Bible.

The posts were mainly intended for myself, but I decided to share them with the public. If anything I share can be helpful, that's wonderful. Otherwise, this site serves as a digital archive of the issues I've been exploring and saving in my memory for various reasons.

From Eden

Despite our departure from the garden due to disobedience, God's love for us has never wavered. His efforts to engage with us and show us how much we mean to Him are a constant and unwavering presence in our lives, a source of security and cherished love.

Antediluvian Stories

What is the problem with the giant narrative during the antediluvian period, before the flood? For one thing, contemporary theologians have been able to circumvent the story by explaining that it was descendants of Seth mating with human women, giving birth to men of renown. They don't want to have to tackle the Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels, for one thing. Why, you may ask, do they not want to go there?

The Ontological Self

The OS is where most of us are today unless you are part of the Remnant, the body of Christ that has experienced restoration and transformation. The only way out of your condition is to get your neurology reset and pray that the Holy Spirit (HS) can wake you up and transform your very being, your very soul; otherwise, your existence rests as a compromised, dumbed-down objectified human being, unwise and no empathy for anyone else living in utter depravity.

Still and Deep Waters

The reason why the psalmist wrote these words is just as relevant now as it was back then. We must take this psalm seriously and find a quiet space to contemplate the words. We should ask God to teach us the true meaning of the words and what they are trying to convey.

Testimony

I remember sharing with my morning coffee partner that I finally understood the need for Yeshua to arrive when he did and, later in his life, offered to help us, heal us, and deliver the Holy Spirit for comfort and to teach us in all things. Speaking in tongues wasn’t part of his message. Yeshua, our Messiah, our Savior, came to get us, those who want it, back on track. He came to heal and connect us to a place where we are wise as the “serpents” and understand the world about us.

Mythos Paradox

Mythology for a Postmodern Culture

What would our lives look like if we consider God to be nothing more than a mythological figure? The characters depicted in the Bible, the words and letters they wrote, the overarching themes conveyed in the Bible, and the compilation of books and letters are abstract, objective things that do not possess meaning? The idea of objectifying and mythologizing the truths spoken of in the Bible isn't anything new.

Shelter of His Wings

Exegesis on Psalm 91

Psalm 91 spells out a world we are either prepared for or will destroy us. Are we walking into battle, unable to ward off the enemy with no weapons? The New Testament (NT) also warns us of the difficulties we will face. We’re told of the principalities and powers we will encounter. And of the thief that comes to steal, kill, and destroy.

Novus Theos, no. 6

The Way, the Truth, the Life

In an earlier conversation today with a friend, I stated how we are neurologically compromised; we are clearly at a disadvantage as postmoderns. We are not doing well as a people, we Westerners. Our culture was created for us to influence the way we operate and behave.
